Date and Time

Dates are in ISO 8601 format: YYYY-MM-DD, where YYYY is the four-digit year, MM is the two-digit month, and DD is the two-digit day.

Times are given in 24-hour format. Unless specified, all times are UTC-08:00.

Terminology

Due to my background in EMS, I will be using some anatomical terminology to describe locations and positions when I can’t think of any better way to convey that information. I’m getting better about this, but you may still see terms like medial/lateral, proximal/distal, or superior/inferior. Oddly enough, I do use terms like “along the long axis” at work to describe humans. Like I said, I’m trying to get better about this.

I realize that many people use the terms “motor” and “engine” interchangeably. I am not one of those people. Without apology or explanation, I am simply going to state that I use “motor” to denote a solid propellant, and “engine” for liquid or hybrid propellants. When referring to or quoting the work of another, I will use their preferred term, despite any confusion this may cause.
